"Faerie Tales"

This was the last painting I painted for my first solo exhibition in Scottsdale, AZ. I had a week before the show hung and wanted to paint something whimsical and magical. I loved the look of the old beat-up books. The reference with the teapot is to Alice in Wonderland and the candle idea from A Christmas Carol. I like to think that the Cricket Box was left open slightly and the Cricket went up the ladder and left the painting.
