This painting is the second time I decided to make a month of the year the theme of the painting. I was looking for not only objects that could be found in December but also colors that felt like the time of year. I crouded the objects together a bit more than normal because I always think of December as a time for closeness..... and crouds. The gourd on the left was one of my favorite things to paint.
