Personal Information:

I was born in Philadelphia, grew up in New Jersey and studied Fine Arts and figure drawing at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Among the many notable artists whose classes I attended there are James McMullan and Everett Raymond Kinstler. During my years in New York, I also attended classes at the famed Art Students League and often would spend my free time attending life-drawing sessions at Spring Studio. I believed then, and believe still, that excellent drawing skills are prerequisite to the creation of great painting.

After receiving my B.F.A., I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where I taught classes at Scottsdale Artists' School. It was there that I met artist Daniel Greene and would spend the next five summers working with him in his studio in North Salem, NY.

Painting is a language in which an intellectually stimulating idea must be spoken with precision. Such precision comes by painting objects from life. All of the artwork on this site was done completely from life.

My work is currently being shown in many private collections, both national and international. Some recent shows include a solo exhibition in November 2006 at Meyer's Art Gallery in Scottsdale. A group still-life show in May 2007 at the same gallery. I have several upcoming events this year including a realism show in May at the Tempe Center for the Arts in AZ. I also have a solo exhibition planned at the Blue Diamond Gallery for July 2009.

My collectors include CEO's, actors and actresses, several well known artists, and prominent businessmen and women. Please contact me if you should like to request any more detailed information.
